Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Materiel Management Consultant to support Army logistics materiel management through supply management, inventory analysis, warehousing, secondary item management, and executive decision support. Successfully demonstrate competency in project execution, client delivery, critical thinking, and relationship management while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

This position is part of the team supporting the Army HQDA G-4 ELISS program, delivering innovative solutions that enable critical Army logistics and sustainment missions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as HQDA G4 functional expert for Mortuary Affairs (MA) and Aerial Delivery (AD) at the Army Staff level.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain Armywide MA and AD logistics/sustainment policy, regulations, and implementing guidance.
  • Lead or support staffing of ARs, DA PAMs, ALARACTs, EXORDs/FRAGORDs, and other G4 policy products affecting MA and AD.
  • Ensure MA and AD logistics policy aligns with DoD, Joint, and HQDA guidance and with other proponents (G1, G3/5/7, G8, OTSG, OTJAG, ASA(ALT), ASA(FM&C), etc.).
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Management, Logistics, Finance, Operations Research, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Army logistics/sustainment, portfolio management, program management, DoD, or other complex Government organizations.
  • Experience supporting:
  • Strategic operations, policy, or program management.
  • HQDA, ACOM, ASCC, DRU, or equivalent higherlevel staff work in logistics, distribution, or sustainment planning.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, interpreting, or implementing Army or Joint logistics policy and guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in POM or similar resource integration processes (e.g., POM development, PEG actions, issue papers, or requirements prioritization).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex logistics issues, identify capability gaps or risks, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing staff products for senior leaders (e.g., information/decision papers, briefings, talking points).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders (e.g., HQDA staff, ACOMs/ASCCs/DRUs, Joint or interagency partners).
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools, and collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources into concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Available for occasional travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, National Security/Strategic Studies, or related field.
  • Direct experience in Mortuary Affairs (operations, staff, or policy) at brigadelevel or higher, or with organizations such as CMAOD, MEDCOM, or theater sustainment elements.
  • Direct experience in Aerial Delivery (rigging, planning, safety, doctrine, or staff integration) at brigadelevel or higher.
  • Prior HQDA, Army Secretariat, Joint Staff, or Service HQ staff experience, especially within G4 or equivalent logistics organizations.
  • Experience with PPBE at the HQDA or ACOM level, including leading or significantly contributing to POM builds, PEG deliberations, or major issue papers.
  • Familiarity with JCIDS, Army capability development processes, and lifecycle logistics for MA and AD systems.
  • Experience representing an organization in Joint, interagency, or multinational working groups related to logistics, MA, or AD.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive casualtyrelated information while maintaining discretion, emotional resilience, and professional judgment.
  • Professional military education (e.g., ILE/CGSOC, SSC) or civilian equivalents that emphasize operational art, sustainment, and strategiclevel planning.
  • Relevant certifications or advanced training in logistics, program management, or Aerial Delivery/Mortuary Affairs specialty courses.

Required:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors' Degree in business or public administration, management, economics, math, science, engineering.

Target salary range: $83,912.41-$144,186.17. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.

For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances, due to the nature of the work.
