Job Description

All candidates MUST reside in the state of California

Ambitious and growing law firm looking for a Workers' Compensation Hearing Representative to deliver excellent service to clients. Opportunities for growth and advancement.

This position is within the Workers' Compensation Department at Abramson Labor Group. You will have the opportunity to interact with the clients' files throughout the lifecycle of their case and attend hearings relevant to issues that may arise during a client's case.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a high-volume legal Workers' Compensation caseload
  • Communicating with relevant parties involved in a case
  • Attending all case related hearings
  • Maintaining case notes
  • Reviewing and evaluating case files
  • Possible traveling to assigned Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) locations to appera in hearing and trials
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 1+ years of experience as a Hearing Representative related to Workers Compensation (Preferred) 
  • Knowledge of CA Workers’ Compensation (Required) 
  • General understanding of the workers’ compensation system including EAMS, E-filing, and the AME/PQME process
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to observe details on a computer or other electronic screens
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently with little supervision
  • Bachelor's degree Preferred
  • Bilingual (English + Spanish) Preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Teams
