About the Role

This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations for our branch, ensuring accurate financial management, GAAP compliance, and timely reporting โ€“ while providing insights that support performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Track job costing and margins in alignment with operational and financial goals.
  • Review and maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Partner with operational leaders to surface financial insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor performance to budget.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate time and cost allocations, in collaboration with HR/payroll systems.
  • Coordinate with the Divisional Controller to ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Assist with external audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Controller, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role (required)
  • Home services or construction industry experience (highly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Service Titan and QuickBooks (highly preferred)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong comfort working with financial data
  • Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
