Sconehenge Bakery & Cafe is an employee-owned artisanal bakery specializing in handmade scones, galettes, and cookies. We’re proud to serve our community, partner with local grocers like Whole Foods, and deliver a product that’s both delicious and consistent in quality. As part of our team, you’ll be contributing to a company where everyone has a stake in our success.

Role Summary

The packing team member is responsible for ensuring that every order leaves the bakery packaged, accurately, neatly, and on time. This team puts the baked goods into the proper packaging and puts all the orders together accurately. This role is critical to maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing errors, and keeping our operations running smoothly. We are looking for a part time person to pack on Sundays. Possible to pick up more shifts when other team members call out and during the holiday season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pack scones, cookies, galettes, and almond cakes and related products according to customer and wholesale orders.
  • Label products correct flavor, dates, and packaging requirements.
  • Verify orders against packing slips or invoices before sealing and staging for delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing and fulfillment areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts of packaging, labels, and finished product as needed.
  • Communicate discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues to the Packing Manager or shift lead.
  • Follow all food safety and handling protocols to ensure product integrity.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills (to check counts and labels).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings or early mornings as needed.
  • Prior experience in food service, fulfillment, or warehouse packing is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Lift and move trays or boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive motions such as scooping, bagging, labeling, and taping boxes.
