Position Title: Online Fulfillment and Packing Associate

Reports to: Retail Manager

NOTE: This role works out of the Amazeum's fulfillment warehouse located in Gravette, Arkansas

Classification

Type: Part-time, non-exempt position (15 -25 hours)

Schedule: Shifts can be scheduled during the warehouse operating hours of Monday through Friday, 9am - 7pm.

Minimum starting hourly rate: $12.00

Scott Family Amazeum Overview

The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We create a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery, collaboration, and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow.

Core Purpose: The Amazeum exists to spark and nurture the curious and creative spirit in all of us.

Through experiences with the Amazeum, individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative, curious, and innovative shapers for the region. Learning at the Amazeum is an active, playful exploration that inspires curiosity. It is rooted in inquiry-based discovery and involves an element of risk. Hands-on learning opportunities allow guests to exercise critical thinking in the context of play.

The Amazeum facility includes approximately 50,000 square feet of indoor space and one acre of outdoor exhibition and activity space. The museum is located at the intersection of Museum Way and J Street in Bentonville, AR.

Position Summary

The Order Fulfillment & Packing Associate plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in delivering joyful Amazeum experiences to families beyond our walls. This position is responsible for accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing online orders from Curiosity Corner for shipment. While this role does not work directly with guests, your precision, care, and efficiency directly shape how families experience the Amazeum at home.

This role works out of the Amazeum's fulfillment warehouse located in Gravette, Arkansas and collaborates closely with the Retail Team to ensure every order reflects Amazeum quality, creativity, and care.

Essential Functions

  • Accurately pick items from Curiosity Corner inventory based on online order details
  • Pack orders safely and thoughtfully to protect products and present them with care
  • Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery, including labeling and staging for carrier pickup
  • Follow established packing standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Identify and communicate order discrepancies, damaged items, or inventory concerns to the Retail Team
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace
  • Restock packing supplies and monitor material needs
  • Support a positive, collaborative, curiosity-driven work environment
  • Work extended schedules during peak seasons, especially during the holiday period
  • Represents the Amazeum in a professional manner at all times including adherence to department standards
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hire
  • Attained, or actively working toward, a High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy and consistency
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing work "the right way" every time
  • Comfortable working independently while also communicating clearly with team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-style environment and meet daily order goals
  • Basic proficiency using computers and learning new systems (order screens, shipping labels, inventory tools—training provided)
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes and products weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to climb step ladders and reach shelving at various heights.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach and perform repetitive motions as part of daily packing and fulfillment tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shift.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for fine motor tasks such as picking small items, taping boxes, labeling, and sorting.
  • Ability to push and pull carts or rolling racks of packed orders.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moderate noise, movement, and activity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in order fulfillment, packing, warehouse, or retail stockroom environments
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms or shipping tools (Shopify, ShipStation, label printers, etc.)
  • Strong organizational habits and pride in maintaining a clean, efficient workspace
  • Ability to spot errors before they ship and take initiative to resolve issues
  • A collaborative, positive attitude and a "jump in where needed" Amazeum spirit
  • Bilingual
