Title: Finished Product Packer

Location: Valparaiso, IN

Pay: $20.84

Shift: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

Overview:

Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations Lead, the Finished Product Packer is responsible for the timely and proper packaging of the final product and maintaining a clean workspace. 

Essential Job Functions:

These areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to:

  • Working safely, following all plant rules, reporting all near misses and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Keeping work areas clean and organized.
  • Monitoring equipment condition and communicating any deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Packing 25kg (55lbs.) bags, boxes, and drums.
  • Operating forklift.
  • Operating packing, milling, and grinding equipment.
  • Completing pack-out sheets; preparing samples for pre-ship.
  • Managing material to and from warehouses.
  • Knowing the difference in products.
  • Knowing how to pack boxes/drums/bags and verify quantity.
  • Knowing how to label products/packing.
  • Identifying different pallets for products.
  • Understand the importance of keeping contamination and foreign objects out of the customer product/packing.
  • Completes any and all other duties, as required or assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting (34 - 66% of the day)
  • Constant standing (66 - 100% of the day)
  • Frequent overhead reaching (34 - 66% of the day)
  • Constant use of upper extremities, i.e., hands and arms (66 - 100% of the day)

Knowledge/Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or pass a pre-employment screening assessment
