Job description

Summary:
To drive continuous improvement, support development of production staff, and to reach the status of a World Class Manufacturing. Facilitate projects for continuous improvement process by developing, standardizing, and monitoring. Facilitate related activities and coordinating various consultations within the Production Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Define and develop continuous improvement activities to reach the status of a World Class Manufacturer.
• Develop and train associates to identify and implement opportunities to improve the process effectiveness.
• Plans and facilitates training to other functions and departments who will support to implement process improvement activities.
• Plans and facilitates operational training within the Production Department.
• Facilitate to improve quality, eliminating waste/cost of poor performance in the Production department.
• Structuralize and track improvement projects with other departments to successful implementation.
• Maintain and update documentation of Kaizen projects and 5S status shared in the Production department.
• Find improvements and share the improvements with related reports to the Production Manager and Production Assistant Manager.
• Clear communication with Production to have a common understanding of improvements and agreement.
• Work according to the established principles and rules of continuous improvement concept and the safety regulations.
• Monitor the Production processes and perform unannounced internal 5S audits according to the 5S principal.
• Facilitate 5S and Kaizen group activity to increase the awareness of 5S and continuous improvements.
• Develop quality processes as needed, review and create a report to ensure the control plans and products meet their specifications.
• Follow all compliance quality, safety, environment regulations and procedures.
• Maintain an audit program to maintain standardized work across the production floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA Management.
Job Requirements:
• Experience with 5S principals.
• Experience with Kaizen principals.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Competences that are needed are: flexibility, teamwork, quality awareness, results and customer orientated.
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift or push up to 40 lbs.
• Must have the ability to occasionally bend, stretch or reach.
