Job description

3PL Configuration Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $23.00 – $25.00/hour (Opportunity to transition to a salaried position after 6 months)

Location: King of Prussia, PA

About the Role

Are you a detail-driven logistics professional who thrives in a dynamic environment? Our client is seeking a highly organized 3PL Configuration Specialist to lead the setup, configuration, and execution of customer-specific logistics programs.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level Statements of Work (SOWs) and flawless daily warehouse operations. You will translate complex customer requirements into clear operational workflows, managing multiple priorities while ensuring precision at every step. If you excel at balancing process discipline with agility, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Configuration & Program Setup

  • Configure customer programs according to SOWs, operational specifications, and technical workflows.
  • Establish requirements for inventory, receiving, fulfillment, kitting, packaging, device handling, and shipping.
  • Conduct detailed validation checks on configurations before pushing programs into live production.
  • Manage configuration documentation and lead cross-functional change-control processes as requirements evolve.

Process Execution & Quality Assurance

  • Execute intricate, multi-step procedures with a high degree of accuracy and strict quality control.
  • Audit work instructions and specifications to identify discrepancies or missing data before operational impact.
  • Support root-cause analysis for any configuration issues and continually refine process documentation.

Project Prioritization & Multitasking

  • Simultaneously manage configuration pipelines, system changes, and onboarding timelines for multiple clients.
  • Monitor dependencies, track open action items, and proactively flag risks to keep implementations on schedule.
  • Pivot quickly between changing customer priorities without compromising accuracy or documentation standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Operations, IT, Account Management, and Sales to streamline customer onboarding.
  • Dig into SOWs, asking targeted questions to clarify ambiguous requirements prior to technical setup.
  • Coordinate system integrations, data exchanges, and automation dependencies with internal IT teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years in 3PL, logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, system configuration, or project coordination.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficient with MS Excel and Microsoft 365; comfortable navigating and learning WMS, TMS, or ERP software platforms.
  • Process Discipline: Proven ability to follow complex, multi-step technical instructions without skipping validation steps.
  • Project Management: Track record of balancing competing priorities and high-volume tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret business requirements, technical specs, process maps, and SOWs.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable translating technical details for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in a 3PL environment supporting customer onboarding or software integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management, fulfillment, device configuration, or reverse logistics.

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate becomes the organization's go-to anchor for operational setup. Success means translating complex customer needs into reliable, error-free workflows, catching potential issues before they hit the warehouse floor, and driving seamless program launches from day one.
