Position Summary:

The Regression Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality by developing and executing regression testing and by continually improving regression test cases.

Essential Functions:

  • Creates test cases from functional requirements.
  • Monitors the execution and results of nightly regression testing.
  • Participates in release testing efforts through script creation/execution, analysis of continuous integration results, updating scripts and reporting of defects
  • Assists developers in identifying the cause of any defects found during regression testing to ensure timely resolution.
  • Contributes in identifying scope of testing/test planning/optimization of test conditions
  • Ensure that bugs are properly identified, documented, tracked, and fixed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
  • Two or more years in Information Technology and P&C Insurance
  • Experience with test automation and regression tools like Duck Creek’s Test Automation Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile/Lean methodologies, with Waterfall experience preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills plus experience collaborating across multiple teams/vendors
  • Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and apply logic to solve business problems with minimal supervision and a willingness to dig into the details of specific projects to ensure the appropriate approach and best use of company resources.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio).
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
