Job Description
If you are a Maintenance Supervisor professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to lead critical maintenance operations while making a direct impact on safety, reliability, and operational excellence. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role leads the third-shift maintenance team, supports off-shift maintenance operations, partners closely with first shift maintenance supervisor, engineering and production leadership, and enforces safety and maintenance standards across the department. Shift hours will be M-F 10pm-6am.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead and supervise the third-shift maintenance team, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with first- and second-shift maintenance teams to ensure consistent maintenance coverage, communication, and standards across shifts.
  • Ensure team members are trained, supported, and equipped to perform work safely and effectively.
  • Facilitate regular toolbox talks and monthly communication meetings to reinforce safety, expectations, and operational priorities.
  • Supervise maintenance activities supporting foundry and production equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate maintenance and repair work to balance urgent needs with planned maintenance.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment issues, including grinders, conveyors, furnaces, robotic systems, material handling equipment, and related systems.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on complex breakdowns, equipment installations, and improvements aligned with OEM specifications.
  • Ensure replacement parts are identified, ordered, stocked, and managed appropriately through inventory review and coordination.
  • Provide on-call support as scheduled, including monitoring equipment and furnaces during weekends when required.
  • Enforce maintenance safety programs in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and document monthly safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance environment.
    Ensure work instructions and maintenance procedures are accurate, current, and consistently followed.
  • Communicate proactively with production leadership to understand operational needs and support safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding repair, and fabrication.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical drawings, PLC logic, and mechanical systems to diagnose equipment failures.
  • Experience working with mobile and material-handling equipment and safe rigging and movement of equipment and components.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to work extended hours, provide on-call support, and cover weekends as scheduled.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or foundry environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of a formal leadership or supervisory development program, such as Leading at Emerson or an equivalent program.
