Position Description
Title: Machine Operator - 3rd Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am
Department: Production
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status: HourlyNon-Exempt
Position Purpose: Operates mailer equipment
Principle Accountabilities
  • Responsible for safe, controlled set-up, operation, and troubleshooting equipment and processes.
  • Ensure product is manufactured and completed as per technical specifications.
  • Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure products comply with production standards.
  • Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed and improved.
  • Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.
  • Records quality and production metrics via written/electronic methods and within time deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.
  • Coaching and mentoring assistants by providing clear and precise instructions.
  • Ensure all safety rules and company policies/procedures are followed.
  • Perform quality control checks
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Must be detailed oriented and have a sense of urgency
  • Use PPE as required
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have basic computer skills, AS400, Microsoft Office.
  • Must have basic math skills.
