Immediate Supervisor Title: Director of Pharmacy Programs

Job Summary: The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications within an FQHC retail pharmacy setting. This role involves direct patient care, collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies, and supporting underserved populations with access to affordable medications. The pharmacist must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations, including 340B program guidelines, while promoting a patient-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Patient Care and Pharmacy Operations

  • · Accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • · Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage, tailoring education to diverse populations.
  • · Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
