Position is located: Acadia

Hours Per Week: 40.00
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Summary:
Provides direction and leadership for Pharmacy operations. Provides operational oversight for the 340B compliance and effectiveness. Effectively recommends to the Director of Pharmacy and System Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services practices to develop, implement and maintain progressive and best practice health system pharmacy services. Works collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health-care professionals. Participates in Northern Light Health System pharmacy related committees, task forces and system meetings. Directs and manages Pharmacy business and financial operations, HR functions, personnel, quality, distribution systems, technology systems and all related professional and operational aspects of current hospital pharmacy best practices and systems. Ensures pharmacy service compliance with Maine Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, Medicare, and Joint Commission.
Responsibilities:
  • Participates in development of departmental goals, strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Develops, maintains and communicates departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develops with the Director of Pharmacy the departmental operational and capital budget and operates the department within the authorized budget as measured by the monthly budget targets.
  • Assists Director of Pharmacy with staff and program development.
  • Assesses operational and clinical opportunities that improve quality, patient safety and financial performance.
  • Responsible for managing distribution systems/technology and information systems technology.
  • Directs and leads effective purchasing and inventory control practices and data analytics including 340B program management.
  • Ensures the efficient and effective operations of processes in the delivery of service/care for areas of responsibility.
  • Monitors compliance with legal and accrediting requirements related to areas of responsibility functions and services.
  • Other Duties.

  • Maine Pharmacist License
  • Preferred: MBA, MHA, MPH or equivalent experience.
