Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE: To perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the
production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and
procedures.
โ€ข Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in
accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
โ€ข Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
โ€ข Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
โ€ข Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which
provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
โ€ข Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function
or assignment before commencing work.
โ€ข Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function
or assignment.
โ€ข Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with
specifications, instructions and requirements.
โ€ข Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within
a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Ability to operate Spinner machine.
โ€ข Ability to change out Spinner tooling.
โ€ข Ability to complete Statistical Process Control Charts for product being spun.
โ€ข Working knowledge of control gauges used in Spinner inspection
โ€ข Ability to identify folded necks in cylinders and scrap accordingly.
โ€ข Ability to operate material handling devices such as overhead hoists, overhead
cranes, hard surface and rough terrain industrial lift trucks.
โ€ข Ability to establish dimension for raw material and in process parts from
production drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
โ€ข Ability to cut raw material and in process parts using available powered
equipment.
โ€ข Ability to operate and support spinning process line.
โ€ข Ability to operate, set up and support 400-ton horizontal press.
โ€ข Ability to use available equipment to de-burr, polish, trim and/or other tasks
required in the production of quality parts.
โ€ข Ability to assist in and set up and operate pre spin heating ovens.
โ€ข Ability to assist in and set up and operate various bottom presses.
โ€ข Ability to assist in and set up and operate in training of various spinning units.
โ€ข Ability to complete written reports
โ€ข Knowledge of equipment set-up procedures
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful
completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.
