Job description

Family Services & Transportation Worker
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required; Associate degree in a social work-related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience working in a child-related position either in a professional or volunteer capacity.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
None
JOB STATUS:
Full time; Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible taking work assignments
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to interact and work with children
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to utilize modern technology i.e., laptops, smartphones, tablets, navigation, and programs like Office 365.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To assist A Second Chance, Inc. with the transportation of children serviced by the programs to medical, school and family visitation appointments
  • Interact with children and families
  • Observe and provide safety assessments
  • Deliver and pick-up documents as required
  • Assist programs with various tasks including but not limited to substitute caregiver visits, and placement visits, as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of case records
  • All other duties assigned based on organizational needs

Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
  • Registered and insured vehicle
  • Certificate of Insurance for vehicle
  • Valid PA Inspection (even if vehicle is registered in another state)
  • Valid/Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Current Act 33, Police Clearance and FBI Clearance
  • City/County travel
