Job description

HIRING  -  EXPERIENCED APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECH (FULL-TIME)   join our awesome apartment maintenance team in Omaha! This is a hands on job that will deal with HVAC repair, make-readies, work orders and grounds.

PAY: $27-29 an hour plus up to $3,000+ in bonuses throughout the year!

BONUSES POTENTIAL:
$750 quarterly bonuses (based on site performance)
$100 for every week you hold the on-call phone and minimum 1.5hrs paid time for emergency calls
That is $3,000+ in annual bonuses!

POSITION DETAILS: In this position, you will float between our 7 properties maintenance teams and assist when and where needed. A strong background in HVAC is required to be considered for this position. The right fit should be personable and a team player, ready for whatever comes there way!

What You'll Be Doing:    

  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
  • Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
  • Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
  • Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
  • Exterior structural maintenance as needed
  • Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
  • Snow removal (when applicable)
  • Pool maintenance (where applicable)
  • Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)

The Experience We Like To See:    

  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
  • 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
  • Dry walling including painting and carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
  • Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
  • Required experience in HVAC with EPA certification and/or boiler system knowledge, air conditioning repair knowledge is necessary
  • Pool experience with CPO certification preferred 
  • Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
  • Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
