Position: 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC)
Project Director (grant funded)
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. An equivalent
combination of education, training, and demonstrated experience in 21st CCLC or other grant
funded after-school programming may be substituted.
Experience with grant writing and grant-funded programs with a preference for 21st CCLC
Experience in budget preparation and purchasing of supplies and materials
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship
Demonstrated ability in supervision, staff/student recruitment and retention, and scheduling
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements, protocols, and procedures as outlined in the 21st CCLC grant guidelines, including being a liaison to the grant evaluator
  • Provide services to parents/guardians/caregivers, families, and other community members, including but not limited to workshops, family nights, resources, and referrals
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor, and control expenditures and comply with funding sources and grant guidelines
  • Conduct ongoing staff meetings to ensure the delivery of an optimum level of service
  • Collaborate with district/school administration and staff on student matters, scheduling, and programming
  • Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner, as required by the 21st CCLC guidelines and NJDOE
  • All other performance responsibilities outlined on BOE-approved job description

Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.

Community: The Freehold Borough Public Schools is a Preschool - 8 District in Monmouth County, NJ with a diverse student population of approximately 1,500 students. The district is comprised of two elementary schools and one middle school. High school students attend the Freehold Regional High School District.
