SHIFT AVAILABLE
2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday. Starting rate $18.00 + $0.75/hr shift premium.
Work 4-10/hr. days: Monday-Thursday 3:30 pm-2:00 am (30-minute unpaid break)

EMPLOYEES WHO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES:
  • Prior Manufacturing experience, in a printing environment is not required but helpful.
  • Prior machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail while performing quality checks is key.
  • Good eye for product quality and safety.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Comfortable working with computers in general.
  • Confident in their basic math skills and their ability to read a ruler.
  • Reliability and a history of great attendance with reliable transportation to work.
  • Works great both individually and as a Team.

WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?
  • Work schedule: 3:30pm-2:00am, Monday-Thursday (30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Operates standing or sedentary rewind equipment to cut, package and prepare finished labels for shipment according to customer specifications.
  • Meets expected production output while working safely and following all procedures and policies.
  • Completes required quality and production logs using basic math.
  • Uses two hands to set up rolls and empty spools for rewinding application.
  • May use a foot pedal to operate some pieces of rewind equipment.
  • Work with other shifts to keep the area clean and safe.
  • Follows all Lean practices and performs as an active member of the team.
  • Uses ruler skills and attention to detail to maintain quality control inspections of product.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrate organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Display strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English
  • Possess basic math and computer operation skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, twist and lift/carry up to 20 pounds
  • Be dependable and work the agreed upon schedule along with reliable transportation
  • Press, print, label or related field manufacturing experience preferred
  • Desire working knowledge of Lean Principles and/or Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM)

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS
  • Stamina & Mobility: Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8-12 hours). Must be able to frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.
  • Weight Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.
  • Manual Dexterity: Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials and machine components.
  • Range of Motion: Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height.
  • Sensory/Vision: Must possess tactile/touch sensitivity in hands and digits. Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.
  • Work Environment: Ability to perform these functions in a manufacturing environment that may include high noise levels, varying temperatures, and paper dust.
