The Rewinder is responsible for operating and maintaining rewinding machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing routine inspections to prevent defects. By maintaining consistent product quality and minimizing waste, the Rewinder directly contributes to the overall productivity and profitability of the production line. This role demands a proactive approach to safety and quality control, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the rewinding process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating rewinding or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection techniques.

  • Certification in industrial safety or equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate rewinding machines to rewind materials such as paper, film, or foil onto cores or spools according to production specifications.
  • Monitor machine settings, tension, and alignment to ensure consistent product quality and prevent defects or material damage.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of rewinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Inspect rewound rolls for quality assurance, including checking for wrinkles, tears, or uneven winding, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs to minimize production interruptions.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any quality issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills:

The Rewinder uses mechanical skills daily to operate and adjust rewinding machinery, ensuring materials are wound correctly and meet quality standards.
