Job description

Pono Aina Management LLC is currently seeking a Training Systems and Technical Support Specialist to join their team. This key role delivers expert technical and programmatic support for all training systems, simulators, course ware, technical publications, and training devices supporting the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleets. The position ensures that RAAF aircrew and maintenance personnel receive effective, up-to-date training aligned with current and future aircraft configurations.

The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the Australian Liaison Office, NAVAIR, Boeing, and other U.S. training system stakeholders in a complex international defense training environment. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and provide expert advice on training systems program management, including schedule reviews, technical issue resolution, and performance reporting Coordinate the exchange of technical data, publications, courseware, and training-related information between RAAF and U.S

stakeholders Track and manage training system upgrades, simulator modifications, and configuration changes Support the integration of new aircraft capabilities into existing training devices and courseware Liaise with NAVAIR, Boeing, and other industry partners on training device sustainment and development Contribute to program reviews, risk management, and reporting for all RAAF training capabilities Develop briefing materials and support technical governance meetings related to training systems Monitor training device availability, obsolescence issues, and future training requirements Ensure alignment between aircraft capability upgrades and supporting training solutions Mandatory Requirements: U.S. or Australian Citizenship Current or ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET clearance (or Australian AGSVA equivalent) Demonstrated working knowledge and hands-on experience in military aviation training systems and devices Experience in the management and use of aviation technical data, publications, and instructions Important Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Education, Aviation, or a related technical discipline (preferred) Knowledge of simulator operations, courseware development, and training device sustainment Understanding of U.S

DoD and Australian Defence training systems and standards Strong analytical and program management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Requires the ability to walk short distances. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
