Job description

Description: NSI requires a Power Plants Mechanic to support the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) effort for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) MH-60R Program in Al Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This effort is to support Maintenance efforts in a squadron level activity and support the sustainment of operations of a RSNF MH-60R squadron. This position will be located at Al Jubail. The Power Plants Mechanic will provide duties in support of an MH-60R squadron. This includes all required inspections/daily maintenance IAW the 4790 requirements. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all things related to the Power Plants work center requirements. The candidate must have proven power plants experience within a MH-60R/S squadron (minimum of 8 years) and a qualified power plants CDQAR or QAR. I-Level experience on the T-700 engine is very much preferred as well. The candidate will utilize the Aircraft Integration Maintenance System (AIMS) vice NALCOMIS/OMA. AIMS is basically a commercial version of OMA. NSI has AIMS representatives on site for training and guidance on using AIMS. The candidate will interface with RSNF personnel daily and is expected to provide on-going ad-hoc training almost daily. The candidate is responsible for the production and quality of the work center. Hands on production is expected. Like all FMS positions, interfacing professionally with the RSNF customers is paramount. FMS customers are NOT the U.S. military and each FMS customer presents different challenges and the candidate is expected to respect the customers views and processes and work well with the RSNF personnel. Good/professional communication skills are a requirement. Al Jubail is located about an hour's drive from Bahrain. Our current Al Jubail employees often travel to Bahrain on weekends for a "change of scenery" and enjoy the restaurants and shopping as well as meeting up with local Americans stationed in Bahrain. The pay is generous for the right candidate. Although NSI does not get involved with the "tax free status" (contact the IRS for particulars), our current employees state that if 330 days out of a 365-day period is spent deployed, the employee can apply for tax free status. Again, NSI does NOT get involved in the tax-free process. The tour of duty is one year. One trip back to CONUS is permitted during the year. The company pays transportation costs for the return trip during the year. The employee is expected to utilize their Personal Time Off (PTO) or leave without pay during the trip back to CONUS. Apartment, vehicle and cell phone provided. Passport is required. Work Weeks are Sunday thru Thursday. Location: Jacksonville, FL Education: AS or AA degree preferred but not required. Experience: A former Navy MH-60R/S AD/CDQAR for power plants or QAR is required. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
