What is it like to work a 12-hour shift schedule, and how can I manage work-life balance in such roles?

Working a 12-hour shift typically means longer workdays but often fewer days worked per week, such as three or four shifts. This schedule can offer extended time off between shifts, but it may also be physically and mentally demanding due to the length of each shift.
