Job Description:
UofL Health/UofL Physicians Group, located in Louisville, KY, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join its growing pain medicine team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient lives while practicing within an academic health system affiliated with the University of Louisville. Our specialists work closely with UofL Health's primary care network to institute a sustainable approach to pain management. The physician will work in a multispecialty clinical office.
Requirements:
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school
  • Candidate must be Board Certified and have completed an ACGME Accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Kentucky Medical License
  • DEA certification
  • Strong procedural skills
  • Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills

Essential Functions:
  • Assesses the physical status of clients through interview, health history and physical examination and both inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Formulates treatment plans for health problems and follow-ups.
  • Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests and routine diagnostic and follow-up studies and therapeutic measures.
  • Evaluates the quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement.
  • Shares clinical expertise with personnel.
  • Documents and reports care in an accurate and timely manner.
Other Functions:
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
Education:
  • Medical Doctorate degree
Experience:
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills
Licensure:
  • Physician license for state of Kentucky
Certification:
