Locum Tenens | August 2026 Start

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician for locum tenens call coverage beginning in August 2026. This opportunity supports adult orthopedic services and offers ongoing weekend call coverage with a low-volume call burden and expedited credentialing process.

Assignment Highlights

• Start: August 2026
• Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
• Commitment: Approximately 1 weekend/block per month
• Schedule: 24-Hour Call Coverage Only
• Setting: Hospital-Based Orthopedic Surgery Services
• Onsite Requirement: Yes, as needed for call response
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 3 Weeks

This assignment is ideal for an orthopedic surgeon seeking supplemental call coverage with a manageable patient volume. Providers will cover orthopedic consults, admissions, and surgical cases as needed while supporting adult patients only.

Current coverage needs include:

• August 7, 2026 at 7:00 AM – August 10, 2026 at 7:00 AM
• September 28, 2026 at 7:00 AM – October 1, 2026 at 7:00 AM
