Desert Blossom Orthopedic and Sports is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center located in Union, New Jersey. This role focuses on providing high-quality, personalized care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore muscle function according to each patient's unique needs and recovery goals.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of client conditions through diagnostic testing to establish baseline functionality and to measure progress throughout treatment.
  • Administer hands-on therapeutic exercises and treatments, and educate clients in appropriate home exercises and activities.
  • Oversee and support Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed care procedures and interventions.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, preparing clinical records that include evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries to support ongoing management and communication with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate actively in case conferences and collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Make environmental assessments to advocate for modifications that promote patient independence and recovery at home.
  • Instruct clients and families on the effective use of physical therapy devices and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuity of care through regular updates and adjustments to each client’s treatment plan based on progress observations and feedback.
  • Complete administrative tasks, ensuring timely submission of documentation and compliance with company policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and those with chronic pain or mobility issues. This role prioritizes understanding each patient’s individualized needs, aiming to empower them to achieve maximum independence and functionality in their daily lives.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
  • A solid professional history free from sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise programs tailored to specific rehabilitation needs.
  • Strong familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for precise patient documentation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary physical therapy techniques and practices supported by recent research.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
