TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for children through focused therapy interventions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough Physical Therapy evaluations for pediatric patients to assess their needs and capabilities.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments, patient goals, and family involvement.
  • Regularly review progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring patients are consistently moving towards their goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, utilizing our electronic record-keeping system.
  • Provide education and support to both patients and their families, addressing questions and offering guidance throughout the recovery process.
  • Meet established utilization goals and contribute actively to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various disciplines to optimize patient outcomes for those receiving multiple therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at TheraPlay, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes children with orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting patients ranging from infants to adolescents, including those with special needs or complex diagnoses. Your efforts will contribute significantly to their development, ensuring they receive the best care tailored to their specific situations.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure from the Board of Physical Therapy for practice in Virginia.
  • Willingness to conduct both in-person and telehealth therapy appointments, adapting your approach as clinically appropriate.
