Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Operate a multi-line phone system promptly, using proper telephone etiquette. Take and deliver accurate telephone messages. Perform a variety of daily tasks andย errands. Responsible for making travel arrangements for internal employees.ย ย Answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. Provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment; location of departments, offices, and employees within organization.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: A controlled atmosphere set within an office environment.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Have the ability to fluently read, write, and speak in English.
  • Adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook.
  • Adhere to Jacamโ€™s Drug and Alcohol policy and agrees to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
  • Cooperate with fellow employees towards completing a common goal.
  • With instruction and materials, create presentations and manuals as required.
  • Answer phones per procedure. Promptly and with proper telephone etiquette.
  • Use all equipment associated with position. Copier, postage scale & meter, fax machine and general office equipment.
  • Be precise, detail-oriented, and organized while processing multiple activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and one or two yearsโ€™ experience.
  • Initially type at 35 wpm with an error of 1/100 keystrokes. Goal to be 80 wpm and 1/500 errors per keystrokes.
  • Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful and credible in the workplace.
  • Build communal relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Computer Skills: A background in MS Office applications is required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Meets internal and external commitments and responds promptly to employee and/or manager needs.
