Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Columbus, OH

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology unit. This role offers a dynamic working environment with both day and night shifts available on a rotating schedule. Candidates may be assigned to day shifts, night shifts, or a combination of both, based on departmental needs and staffing requirements.

Unit Overview

The Oncology unit provides specialized care for patients with the following needs:

  • Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
  • Management of soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
  • Symptom management related to disease treatment or progression
  • Management of comorbidities

In this role, you will place a heavy emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention.

  • Bladder Scanner
  • Alaris pumps
  • Stryker beds
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4
  • Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required
Essential Skills
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Accessing ports
  • Management of arterial lines
  • Blood product administration
  • Care and management of central lines
  • PICC line management
  • IV insertion skills
  • Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal
  • Experience with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
  • Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
