Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive care to oncology patients while focusing on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient care related to the continuous cardiac monitoring associated with chemotherapy administration.
  • Administer diagnostic services and chemotherapy to patients with soft tissue malignancies.
  • Implement symptom management strategies for patients experiencing disease-related treatment symptoms or progression.
  • Oversee the management of comorbidities in patients.
  • Adhere to protocols aimed at preventing infections and minimizing patient falls.

  • B450 monitors (GE telemetry system)
  • Bladder Scanner
  • Alaris pumps
  • Stryker beds
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4.
  • Experience in floating between units of equivalent or lower acuity is required.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is required.
Required Skills
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Accessing ports for medication administration.
  • Management of arterial lines and central lines.
  • Administering blood products.
  • PICC line care and management.
  • IV starts and management.
  • Assisting in chest tube insertion and removal.
  • Administration of high flow nasal cannula (HFNC).
  • Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Additional Information

Shift assignments will be based on department needs and reviewed every four weeks. Candidates must be flexible in their scheduling availability, which may include daytime, nighttime, or a combination of both. This position may require floating to other units as necessary.
