Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses with a focus on medical-surgical oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring effective management and treatment for patients with soft tissue malignancies and various comorbidities.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and provide continuous cardiac monitoring.
  • Facilitate diagnostic services and symptom management for oncology patients.
  • Implement infection prevention protocols and mitigate patient falls.
  • Conduct assessments and manage comorbidities related to patient treatment.
Special Equipment
  • B450 monitors using GE telemetry system
  • Bladder Scanner
  • Alaris pumps
  • Stryker beds
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4.
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
Skills Required
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Accessing and managing ports
  • Handling arterial lines and blood product administration
  • Central line care and PICC line management
  • IV initiation and management
  • Assisting with chest tube insertion and removal
  • Managing high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
  • Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
