Engineering Manager

Columbus, OH

Sands Decker, a civil engineering and land surveying firm, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to work in our Columbus office. Why join the talented Sands Decker team?   • PAY: $90,000-$115,000/per year, offer dependent on experience

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full time

  • 8-hour shift
  • Flexible schedule

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS in Civil Engineer or equivalent
  • Ohio PE License or ability to secure an Ohio PE License via reciprocity from another state
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be proficient in Civil 3d

Our Engineering Manager will:

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the firm’s engineering and design staff.
  • Develop & implement methods and processes to meet operational goals of
  • Securing, developing, and maintaining staff including strategies for hiring, training, and retaining engineers and designers.
  • Delivering a recognizable, high quality, accurate product including collaboration on the development and maintenance of standard company design documents, templates and tools as well providing QA/QC oversight particularly with regard to storm water management calculations and reports, stormwater pollution prevention plans and other technical documents.
  • Staying current with industry & regulatory standards
  • Balancing competitive pricing/fees with efficient performance to maximize profitability 

Sands Decker is an established regional engineering and surveying firm, providing civil engineering design and surveying services for state and governmental, educational, and private clients. We provide services for projects involving land development; commercial and industrial development; K-12 and higher education; water treatment, storage and distribution; contract administration and construction observation; road design and reconstruction; single-family and multi-family residential development; wastewater collection and treatment; and stormwater management.
