JOB SUMMARY

Ferguson Construction is a leading general contracting and construction management firm with over 100 years of industry expertise. The Construction Manager will oversee daily construction operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a commitment to safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Manage all day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite workforce to ensure efficient and effective task completion.
  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules and coordinate daily work activities to meet overall project milestones.
  • Monitor and enforce all safety practices on-site, promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to company and client standards.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and site organization.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation of site activities and progress.
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with project management regarding progress, risks, and resource needs.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related roles, with a focus on field operations.
