Job description

Share your administrative skills, organizational abilities, and office based talents to assist one of the most recognized nonprofits in the world, the American Red Cross. Lend your Microsoft Office suite skills and your ability to type 50 words per minute to assist in running the management suite efficiently in support of the Regional CEO. Sort, scan, and distribute mail. Engage in database management, sharing your Microsoft Access skills, to benefit the Board of Directors and Ohio Government Officials. Enter board/volunteer hours in Volunteer Connection software and generate monthly reports. Assist in the coordination/planning of Board and/or committee meetings, Division/Regional All Staff meetings, and other events as directed. Scan, track, and monitor contracts: file both hard and soft copies. Provide advanced internet research. Email Regional staff on behalf of the Executive Coordinator as directed. Maintain up-to-date records on office supplies and promotional items for the region.

To volunteer as a Regional Executive Office Support Volunteer, join the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) a volunteer program exclusive to Franklin County residents ages 55 years and older. We match volunteers ages 55+ with nonprofits in their community that either need or rely on volunteers to be able to provide their services. Funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and part of AmeriCorps Seniors, VANTAGE Aging’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 years and over. We partner with nonprofit agencies to match these older adults to their volunteer opportunities. RSVP projects link the skills of the volunteers with the identified needs of the community. We think of ourselves as the 'center hub' for our volunteers looking for opportunities. We offer many wonderful incentives and perks to our team of RSVP volunteers, this program is free and so rewarding to be a part of.
