Job description

Description:

BBI is looking for hard working, competitive, and passionate student looking to gain operations experience. As an Operations Intern at BBI, you will gain hands-on experience through extensive logistic training, providing support to your assigned mentor, and taking on more responsibility as the internship goes on. The summer internship program is crafted to elevate your operations skill set while also gaining industry knowledge. If you are a proactive, motivated student your search ends here. What you’ll be doing. 

  • Rotate through different areas of operations to gain exposure to various functions within the logistics industry. 
  • Work alongside our teams to gain hands-on experience with LTL, carrier relationships, and transportation operations. 
  • Assist with identifying and developing new transportation opportunities and lanes. 
  • Learn how to communicate and build relationships with carriers and transportation partners. 
  • Gain experience understanding market conditions, evaluating transportation options, and supporting lane negotiations. 
  • Research and identify new carrier and truck driver opportunities to help support our growing network. 
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand how operations work together to support customers and BBI Logistics. 
  • Take on meaningful projects and responsibilities that directly contribute to the success of the operations team. 

What you’ll bring to the table. 

  • Junior and Senior undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Able to work in office as this internship does not offer remote opportunities 
  • Hard working and positive spirit 
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
