Position Requirements

Description
Looking for anesthesiologists to join Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC, a family-oriented community. New Compensation package just announced! Founded in 1935, the not-for-profit Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) started as a 12-bed hospital in a Victorian home in Whiteville. Today, the modern 154-bed facility of CRHS is known for its skilled and dedicated medical providers, who represent a range of specialties. Our group consists of four anesthesiologists and eight CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Case Assignments & Schedule
Schedule: Routinely three Anesthesiologists are present each day. Early out next day for the Physician who has been on call.
Call averages every third night and every third weekend.
Call from home, no nighttime labor epidurals and very low utilization.
General, peds, vascular, robotic, urologic, orthopedic, OB and gynecologic surgery

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements
M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
