Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Maternal - Newborn for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Registered Nurse - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
FSN is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, family-centered care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, promoting optimal recovery, bonding, and education during the immediate post-delivery period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a couplet care setting
  • Monitor maternal recovery, including vital signs, pain management, and post-delivery complications
  • Assess newborn health, including feeding, elimination, and vital signs
  • Support and educate families on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in postpartum, mother-baby, or labor & delivery required
  • Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
