Job Overview

Legal technology is having its moment - and Relativity is at the center of it.
We are a leading legal data intelligence company. Our extensible, AI cloud platform, RelativityOne, is trusted to turn complex data into actionable insights for litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, arbitration, and other high-stakes legal matters.
With 25 years of experience working with the world's largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies across the globe, we know that organizations have moved beyond experimentation and are now applying AI in product environments to modernize how legal work gets done at scale.
To meet this moment, we're expanding our existing AI and customer facing teams to include Legal AI Advisors, practicing or former attorneys acting as trusted advisors to lawyers helping them reimagine their workflows, evaluate AI solutions, and successfully integrate them into their day-to-day practice. Functionally, they act as legal engineers.
You'll have the backing of an established industry leader and the opportunity to help grow our customer base.
If you're ready to help write the next chapter of legal AI, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Description and Requirements

Legal AI Advisor

The Legal AI Advisor is a practicing or former lawyer who brings deep legal expertise and a passion for technology to help customers understand, adopt, and realize value from Relativity's AI platform and claiR, our new conversational AI experience purpose-built for lawyers.

The Legal AI Advisor will report to the Senior Director, Legal AI Consulting, based in the US.Working across the full customer lifecycle, this role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of legal practice, customer engagement, and product innovation, with a primary focus on driving lawyer adoption of AI at scale.

What is a Legal Engineer?

You may know this role by another name. At Relativity we title it Legal AI Advisor, but it is the same emerging discipline the legal tech market calls legal engineering. A Legal Engineer is a practicing or former lawyer who works at the intersection of legal practice and artificial intelligence, helping attorneys understand, adopt, and get real value from AI-powered legal tools. The "engineering" here is not software engineering. It is the work of taking how legal matters actually get done, across litigation, investigations, privilege review, discovery, and compliance, and redesigning those workflows around generative AI so lawyers work faster, smarter, and more defensibly. Legal Engineers partner with lawyers across law firms, corporate legal departments, service providers, and public sector organizations, serving as credible peers and trusted advisors on AI adoption throughout the full customer journey, from first evaluation through everyday use.

  • Lead tailored product demonstrations that connect Relativity's AI capabilities to real legal use cases

  • Help secure the "legal win" by ensuring lawyers understand and believe in the value of our AI solutions

Enable Post-Sales Adoption and Value Realization:

  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement to drive sustained usage and adoption

  • Guide customers through workflow transformation and AI integration into legal processes

  • Provide structured feedback to Product Marketing, Product and Engineering on customer needs, usability, and adoption barriers

  • Help refine product capabilities to better serve attorney workflows

  • Contribute to playbooks, best practices, and scalable assets for customer engagement

Bridge Legal and Technical workflows and knowledge:

  • Translate complex AI capabilities into practical, actionable insights for legal professionals

  • Help customers understand how RelativityOne's claiR and aiR products will impact specific practice areas and workflows

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and Bar admission

  • 3+ years of experience practicing law at a law firm [AmLaw is a plus] and/or in-house legal team (litigation experience preferred)

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.
