Job Description Summary:
Job Description:
Lab Mgr, Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, OH. Oversee daily operations, research activities & compliance of Laboratory of Vascular & Matrix Genetics (LVMG). Ensure smooth lab function, maintain high research quality & safety standards & support Principal Investigator (PI) in advancing scientific aims. Supervise technical staff, manage resources, lead independent projects, & provide training & mentorship to new lab members. Manage lab operations. Min. req incl: Bachelor's in Bio Sci, Biochemical, or Med Technology, plus 3 yrs prof exp, incl 3 yrs exp w/: lab ops mgmt; molecular biology workflow; histology, IHC, IF, & imaging techniques (e.g., brightfield, fluorescence, confocal); performing data analysis, creating publication-ready fig using BioRender & presenting results; & using stat software; 2 yrs exp managing large mouse colonies; 1 yr exp w/: cell culture workflow; performing in vivo procedures incl tissue collection, multi-route injections, & behavioral & metabolic phenotyping; image processing using advanced platforms (Prism, R, & ImageJ/Fiji); & working in clin trials; 6 mo exp w/: performing sequencing data analysis; & working on multi-disciplinary research team in matrix/elastin biology.
