Support Specialist I (Entry Level)

Summary: The Support Specialist I provides frontline technical and administrative support to both internal staff and external customers through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, live chat, and internal systems. This role is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and professional assistance while ensuring a positive customer experience. Support Specialist I, work closely with team members and supervisors to resolve issues efficiently, supports day-to-day administrative functions, and follows established procedures to maintain service quality and compliance. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to develop customer support, technical, and administrative skills while learning company systems, policies, and best practices.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from customers and employees via phone, email, chat, source systems, and other communication channels.
  • Perform assigned administrative duties, including but not limited to data entry, follow-up communications, and background status checks.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior specialists or supervisors as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and organized spreadsheets, logs, and records.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Assist new users with account setup and provide basic troubleshooting support.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the successful operation of the company.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) or more years of office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
