Job description

We’re looking for a passionate Middle School ELA teacher to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruction & Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned ELA instruction using Ohio’s Learning Standards for grades 6-8. Differentiate for diverse learners.
  • Literacy Development: Foster reading comprehension, writing fluency, speaking, listening, and vocabulary growth.
  • Assessment: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor growth. Provide timely, specific feedback that helps students improve.
  • Classroom Culture: Create a safe, structured, inclusive classroom where student voice is valued and behavioral expectations are clear, consistent, and restorative.
  • Collaboration: Partner with intervention specialists, counselors, and families to support the whole child.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in PD's and seek out best practices in adolescent literacy. We’ll support you!
