Job description

WHO WE ARE:

EOS IT Solutions is a Global Technology and Logistics company, providing Collaboration and Business IT Support services to some of the world's largest industry leaders, delivering forward-thinking solutions based on multi-domain architecture. Customer satisfaction and commitment to superior quality of service are our top business priorities, along with investing in and supporting our partners and employees. We are a true International IT provider and are proud to deliver our services through global simplicity with trusted transparency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Data Center Safety Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the health and safety program across multiple data center sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations in mission-critical environments. This role provides strategic leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on support to operations teams working in live data halls and high-risk work areas (electrical, mechanical, working at height, lifting, confined spaces). This role will grow and manage a team of Quality & Safety Coordinators to ensure the program is implemented successfully across our operations. They will be the driving force behind the development of the program based on leading and lagging indicators that drive our knowledge of operations and safe working practices.

This role requires travel to our data center sites in the United States

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the data center safety management program at sites.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the annual safety strategy and KPIs for the data center(s), focusing on zero harm, reliability of operations, and contractor performance.
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and job hazard analyses for critical activities.
  • Own and continuously improve the permit-to-work system for high-risk activities, ensuring robust control of isolations, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and change management in live environments.
  • Plan and carry out regular site inspections and audits of controlled spaces; track actions to closure and report trends to leadership.
  • Establish and manage incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes; ensure high-quality investigations, lessons learned, and effective preventive actions across all shifts and vendors.
  • Analyze safety performance data (TCIR/LTIFR/DART, near misses, unsafe conditions, audit findings), prepare dashboards, and recommend targeted improvements to reduce risk.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for data center staff and contractors, including induction, electrical safety awareness, LOTO, working at height, confined space, manual handling, and emergency response.
  • Coach and influence team members to embed safe systems of work into activities without impacting critical uptime.
  • Lead or support safety committees, toolbox talks, and behavioral safety initiatives to build a strong safety culture across operations.
  • Ensure readiness for client, corporate, and regulatory audits; coordinate documentation, accompany auditors on site, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local health and safety requirements, data center best practices, and client standards; translate these into practical controls for
    site teams.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Recognized health and safety qualification or certification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, CSP, CMIOSH/GradIOSH, or national equivalent).
  • 4–7+ years of experience in an HSE/safety management role, with significant exposure to data centers, critical facilities, or high-risk industrial/technical environments (HV/LV electrical, mechanical, construction, logistics).
  • Proven track record of leading incident investigations, performing risk assessments, and running site audits in complex, contractor-heavy environments.

SKILLS:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, able to coach team members in a high-pressure, uptime-critical environment.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage both front-line technicians and senior stakeholders, often across multiple languages and cultures.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with safety data, dashboards, and metrics to drive decisions and prioritize actions.
  • Deep understanding of high-risk activities common in data centers (electrical safety, working at height, lifting, confined spaces, hot works, construction interfaces) and practical risk controls.
  • High level of integrity and resilience, with a pragmatic approach that balances safety, operational continuity, and client expectations.

EOS BENEFITS:

At EOS IT Solutions, we are committed to supporting the well-being and success of our team. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance starting the 1st of the month after your start date.
  • 10 Days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually
  • Occasional overtime and bonus opportunities
  • 12 Paid Holidays
  • 6 Sick Days (available after 90 days of employment)
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with a $2,500 company match (available after 90 days of employment)

The EOS pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, market data, or other laws.
