Overview:
36 hours per week, 0.9 FTE, Benefits Eligible
Day Shift, Weekdays, 6:30a-4p or 7a-4:30p
Job Description Summary:
Provides and delivers health and safety services to employees and volunteers as it relates to their employment or volunteer duties. Focuses on prevention of illness and injury and protection from occupational and environmental hazards. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
  • Conducts employment health assessments and screening, annual Tuberculosis (TB) surveillance testing, immunization assessment/administration and other routine screenings and nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
  • Plans, implements, educates and evaluates nursing care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of employees and volunteers.
  • Engages in the "workplace community" by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement.
  • Documents according to department standards, policies, and procedures. Maintains HIPAA compliance of all employee health records.
  • Reviews and provides follow up to employee injury events, identifies and communicates employee safety issues and makes recommendations to the Employee Safety team.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources and Bureau of Worker's Compensation Third Party Administrator to ensure accident reports and Workers Compensation claims/records are accurate and timely.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Registered Nurse with current Ohio license, required.
Certifications:
Current health care provider CPR certification, required.
Skills:
Critical thinking, analytical ability and clinical skills to evaluate the physical and/or mental condition of the employee to determine the appropriate course of action.
Professional interpersonal skills to provide effective communication and customer service.
Experience:
Two years of adult acute care nursing experience, required.

OCCASIONALLY: Bend/twist, Chemicals/Medications, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Squat/kneel
