Community Programs Administrator

Reports to: Chief Programs Officer

FLSA: Full-time salary (exempt) position

Summary: 

The community programs administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, programming, staffing, planning, budgeting, member experience and safety of SourcePoint community programs; both onsite and at off-site locations. The community programs administrator oversees the following:

Fitness & Wellness

Arts & Education

Community Engagement

Customer Service 

Essential Job Functions: 

Management and Oversight 

Responsible for the daily operations of community programs, including  on-and off-site programming, staff & contracted instructor oversight, program spaces, and equipment. 

Lead goal setting, program planning, and budget management of the areas outlined above.

Ensure program success by providing a safe, meaningful and engaging experiences for members. 

Provides direct supervision, leadership and evaluation to the staff of the areas outlined above. 

Ensures adequate staff coverage of all planned activities and operating hours.

Fosters a positive, collaborative culture within community programs and SourcePoint.

Utilize CRM software to track participation, gather member data and report on program success. 

Communication and Collaboration 

Support and further leadership's vision for community programs and SourcePoint

Build cooperative relationships between programs' staff and other departments. 

Maintains professional communication with staff, center members, funders and potential funders, grantees, contractors, vendors, the public. 

Communicates and coordinates matters with and between management and staff.

Responsible for staffing committees, task forces, and groups which may be formed to study an issue, manage an event, or generally improve the center. 

Develop, improve and maintaining policies and procedures for the department while assuring staff are adequately trained.

Actively engage and participate in leadership meetings and initiatives. 

Planning and Evaluation 

Plans and acts strategically, takes initiative, and works independently with sound judgment.

Keeps supervisor aware of important issues and concerns.

Conducts research and provides recommendations to the supervisor.

Develops and manages community programs budget; monitors and approves all expenditures in accordance with approved budget. 

Develops, tracks, and reports key performance indicators and quality measures related to community programs.


Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

Functions as Person In Charge per schedule.

Demonstrated knowledge of issues which impact older adults.

Excellent leadership skills and problem-solving abilities; must be able to think critically and creatively to solve problems under pressure.

Comprehensive understanding of excellent customer service.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be computer and MS Office literate.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and successfully handle multiple tasks.

Ability to be creative and deal with ambiguity and change on a routine basis.

Ability to promote a positive work culture throughout the organization.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, education, public health, human services, or related field required.

Minimum of five years supervisory, program management and employee or volunteer training experience

Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a diverse group of partners, including fellow staff members, community organizations, caregivers, volunteers, clients, and human services professionals.

Demonstrated experience in managing a broad range of educational programming.

Essential Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to lift 20 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance.

Ability to drive to and from meetings, events, etc. as assigned.

Ability to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.

It is expected that other organizational needs will emerge, which will be assigned to the Administrator of Community Programs.
