Job Description

Directly manages the customer relationship within a specific area or region with the goal of developing a deeper understanding of our customer and their supply chain in order to optimize the value DHL can bring to the business. Provides network based operational focus around service KPIs and other specific targets or goals mutually determined by DHL and the customer. Ensures effective coordination (including maximizing service and cost performance) of tooling shipments while developing solid relationships with all parties by providing world class customer service; and ensuring that any issues which might arise are quickly and professionally resolved. Leads the alignment with customer on strategic planning and execution inclusive of production planning. Role may be required to be on-site with the customer.

  • Provide support to the tooling shipment operations to ensure compliance of all SOPs and processes specific to the customer and ensure yearly target achievement
  • Manage the relationship between DHL and the customer
  • Manage, on behalf of the commercial owner, the most complex supply chain solutions for the customer on a day-to-day basis to ensure that performance targets are met
  • Day-to-day tooling operational and service related interactions
  • Schedule on-site meetings and conference calls
  • Issue escalation and resolution
  • Overall cross-functional solution coordination
  • Consultative advisory services
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that improves financial performance and service levels
  • Communicate frequently with internal (transportation, customer support, operations) and external customers (carriers, client transportation, client Customer Service Organizations) to ensure consistency in direction and expectations
  • Ensure accurate data capture, data integrity and system entry in all customer related function
  • Maintain, keep and update contract, RFQs, and Setup monthly customer reports to track and record progress
  • Change Management
  • Monitor and improve customer savings

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience, required
  • 0-3 years of experience of transportation operations experience, required
