Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful African American owned IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago''s Loop.
WHAT WE DO:
We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov''t & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Process Consultant to support process documentation, business process analysis, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand current-state processes, document workflows, develop SOPs and work instructions, gather business requirements, and support process improvement and technology initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be skilled at translating complex business activities into clear, actionable process documentation and training materials.
Key Responsibilities
Process Documentation & Mapping

  • Develop and maintain Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 process maps.
  • Facilitate process discovery sessions with SMEs and business stakeholders.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes.
  • Maintain process inventories and documentation repositories.
  • Ensure process documentation follows organizational standards.

SOPs & Work Instructions

  • Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, job aids, and process narratives.
  • Translate complex operational processes into easy-to-follow documentation.
  • Ensure documentation supports compliance, audit, and operational requirements.

Business Analysis

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business needs and process pain points.
  • Document user stories, process impacts, and requirements.
  • Support current-state/future-state gap analysis.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood.

Training & Change Support

  • Develop training presentations, job aids, quick-reference guides, and onboarding materials.
  • Support end-user training and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist with communications and change management activities related to process changes.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps, redundancies, and standardization opportunities.
  • Support Operational Excellence, Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Business Transformation initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement workshops.
  • Track implementation actions and document resulting process changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience developing process maps, SOPs, work instructions, or training documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder interviewing and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business process documentation and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio, Signavio, Whiteboard, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar process mapping tools.
  • Experience in Operational Excellence, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Process Management, or Business Transformation.
  • Familiarity with business analysis, requirements gathering, and project management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience developing training materials and job aids.


Pay rate: $28.86 - $43.43/ hr on W2
