Job description

Help shape the data products that power client intelligence, operational efficiency, and data-driven capabilities across JPMorganChase. You will join a team responsible for foundational party and client reference data used across onboarding, servicing, and downstream consumption. As a Business Analyst Vice President at JPMorganChase within the Core Data Organization in the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will lead end-to-end business analysis for enhancements to the Master Data Management platform supporting wholesale external party reference data. You will partner with senior business and operational stakeholders to uncover needs, define priorities, and translate complex requirements into deliverables that strengthen data quality, support regulatory compliance, and improve onboarding and downstream processes. You will collaborate closely with product owners and technology partners to shape solutions, drive readiness for delivery, and ensure changes achieve measurable outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead stakeholder discovery and decisioning sessions to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, driving alignment on priorities, scope, and trade-offs
  • Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including functional and non-functional requirements captured in product requirement documents, process documentation, and user stories
  • Drive current-state and future-state process mapping, gap analysis, and solution recommendations across stakeholder groups
  • Serve as a senior liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technology partners, translating business needs into functional requirements and supporting solution design
  • Perform data analysis to validate assumptions, quantify impacts, and inform reference data use cases and solution recommendations
  • Lead impact assessments for changes, including downstream process and data implications across onboarding, servicing, and reporting stakeholders
  • Support data governance standards through contributions to data stewardship, data lineage documentation, and data quality rule definition and monitoring
  • Partner with product and delivery teams to ensure backlog readiness, including drafting and refining epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, including test strategy input, scenario definition, defect triage, and outcome validation
  • Support change management efforts, including training materials, end-user process documentation, and adoption support activities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or equivalent requirements-focused role
  • 3+ years of experience within a financial services organization
  • Experience with Master Data Management and reference data, including enterprise Master Data Management platforms
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional stakeholder engagement and driving alignment on requirements and outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and present effectively to varied audiences
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, including structuring ambiguous problems and driving to practical outcomes
  • Experience creating product requirement documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation that enables effective delivery
  • Experience performing impact assessments for process and data changes with downstream dependencies
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and actively leverage firmwide artificial intelligence tools to enhance productivity and improve ways of working

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience supporting product ownership activities, including backlog refinement, story writing, and outcome-driven prioritization in an Agile environment
  • Experience with business process modeling techniques and tools, such as Business Process Model and Notation and common process mapping platforms
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, including data stewardship models or enterprise data management programs
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis certification
