Description:
Classified (Non-Teaching) Substitute 
Position Function:
To substitute on an as-needed basis for any one or more of the following areas:
  • Bus Aide
  • Classroom Aide
  • Library Aide
  • Lunchroom Monitor
  • Cook
  • Secretary
  • Custodian
  • School Nurse *
* Registered Nurse licensure required
All positions will report to their respective department supervisor or building principal.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students employees and others
  • Effective writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work in standard office and school building environments

Selection Procedure:
In addition to a completed application packet, a criminal background check is required prior to being approved as a classified substitute.  The background check can be completed at Bloom-Carroll's district office free of charge.  The background check is valid for five years.  Please call (740) 756-9700 or email jennifer.luckhaupt@bloomcarroll.org to set up an appointment for your background check.
