Job description

Administrative Assistant

Cenovus Energy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant located at our Dublin, OH office to support our U.S. Legal Department. This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks: drafting correspondence and emails, scanning documents, printing documents and spreadsheets, photocopying, filing, processing invoices, maintaining a filing and file lists, and preparing & updating binders. The position will also book travel, prepare expense reports, organize attendance at seminars and conferences, set up meetings and book meeting rooms, edit documents, review files to be closed, make reservations, scan/fax, and create/maintain spreadsheets & Word documents.

Assist entire U.S. Legal Department; 6-7 attorneys, 2 paralegals and a government relations leader

Handle mail distribution for legal department and other miscellaneous office mail

Receive, process and record incoming accounts payable invoices. This process may include communications with external entities, an internal accounts payable department, and government relations employees or lawyers

Prepare correspondence

Process association membership renewals and registrations for legal department

Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and own meeting room preparation

Backfill for legal and other office support

Legally authorized to work in the US

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

2+ years of relevant experience is required
