Location: Gahanna, OH
Interview:Phone + Skype
Job Decription:
Find us a hands-on Electrical/Hardware Engineer who is strong in Altium, has personally designed analog + digital PCBs end-to-end, has microcontroller experience, and is comfortable bringing hardware into the lab and debugging it-not someone who just designs or just debugs. Has to do both.

line on a major electrical architecture/product-development effort. The team is working to replace a difficult-to-source FPGA architecture with a more flexible, lower-cost microcontroller-based solution, while also addressing evolving global regulatory requirements and new product features.
Engineers will be hands-on with electrical hardware design, PCB development, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and verification. The work involves power-line/CCR/controller lab systems, making onsite presence in Columbus important.
Required Qualifications
Electrical/Hardware Engineering background with hands-on product design experience
Strong Altium experience
PCB design/layout experience, ideally ~6-layer boards
Strong analog and digital circuit design
Microcontroller-based hardware experience
Experience taking hardware through the full design cycle: schematic ? PCB ? prototype ? testing/verification ? documentation
Comfortable with hands-on lab testing, troubleshooting and debugging
Ability to work onsite in Columbus
Preferred / Nice to Have
Power supply / power electronics experience
Signal integrity, impedance-controlled traces, reflections, etc.
Power-line communications (PLC)
OFDM / communications experience
Automotive, industrial controls, or other manufacturing/product-development experience
Ideal Background

Target Electrical Hardware Engineers, Electronics Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers, or Embedded Hardware Engineers who have personally designed and tested PCBs. The strongest candidates will come from embedded hardware, industrial controls, power/communications equipment, automotive electronics, or similar product-development environments.
Avoid candidates who are primarily architects/reviewers, firmware engineers, or managers who outsource the actual PCB design. The key differentiator is someone who can sit down in Altium, design the hardware, bring up the board, troubleshoot it in the lab, and take ownership through verification.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking hands-on Electrical Engineers to support the ILCMS product line in Columbus, OH. The engineers will design and develop analog/digital electrical hardware, PCB assemblies, and microcontroller-based systems while supporting schematic development, PCB layout, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and verification. This is a hands-on product development role supporting a next-generation electrical architecture and evolving regulatory requirements. Strong Altium and end-to-end PCB design experience are essential.
