Job description

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.

JOB SUMMARYThis position will be proficient in operating Trimble robotic total stations and layout tools and will accurately transfer BIM/CAD design coordinates to the field for construction layout.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience with hands-on operations of Trimble robotic total stations and/Trimble layout tools in a construction environment. 
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification or willingness to get it
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience (conduit routing, panel/switchgear placement, cable tray layout)
  • Commercial or industrial mechanical /HVAC experience (ductwork, piping, equipment placement)
  • Commercial or industrial plumbing experience (underground, riser layout, fixture rough-in)
  • Experience with Trimble SC series scanning total stations or 3D scanning workflows
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks, Revit, or AutoCAD for reviewing models
  • BIM/VDC coordination or modeling experience is a strong plus
  • Multi-trade layout experience across two or more MEP disciplines
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate Trimble robotic total station and field layout tools to establish control points, set layout points, and verify as-built conditions on active jobsites.
  • Perform point layout for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) hangers, supports, sleeves, penetrations, embeds, anchors, and equipment pads. 
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, BIM/VDC coordinators, and trade partners to ensure layout accuracy and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and care for Trimble instruments, accessories, and related equipment.
  • Document completed layout work, prepare field reports, and communicate deviations or RFIs as needed
  • Train and mentor field personnel on basic layout tool operation and best practices.
  • Follow all site safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Work with tools as needed or required
